In 2010, With her partner she purchased Fritzwillis and started Fritz and Friends. They offered high quality learning in a fun, friendly and relaxed environment in downtown Franklin for almost 10 years. During this time she was able to meet many talented artists who taught in their studio, including Amy Weiks. Unfortunately, Fritz and Friends is no more, but she is thrilled to continue teaching metalsmithing as a part of the Smith Shop team. She loves to teach beginners in metalsmithing, and enjoys the energy and excitement that results from their discovery of this wonderful art form.

Prior to finding her passion for metalsmithing, she studied Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) for 5 years while living in Japan. She earned a teaching certification from the Sogetsu school of Ikebana in 2003.
